Disney's For Your Consideration site has been updated to include listings for Avengers: Endgame screenings in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London. At this time, it is unclear what specific awards Marvel Studios is going to go after. With that being said, it easy to see Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Director, and maybe even a Best Actor nomination for Robert Downey Jr. The Russo Brothers have been talking about Downey Jr. taking home the Best Actor Academy Award ever since the movie hit theaters back in April.
When all is said and done, Disney and Marvel Studios may have to end up with the technical awards, which is good because it highlights how much time and effort went into making the movies. Avengers: Endgame features some pretty stellar effects, but Disney and Marvel Studios are obviously going for more than that. Disney will even become its own competition as Aladdin and The Lion King have also been submitted for Academy consideration. Regardless, we'll just have to wait and see which specific awards they're going after. In the meantime, you can keep checking the Disney Studio Awards website for updates.
In Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner went back in time to retrieve the Soul Stone, wielded the Nano Gauntlet to undo Thanos’ “Snap” almost killing him in the process, and took a selfie with some adoring young fans. And yet! Despite saving the freaking world, he couldn’t even get a freaking thanks in freaking Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Early on in Far From Home, Betty Brant filled in her fellow Midtown School of Science and Technology students and the audience about everything that’s happened since the events of Infinity War. “Over five years ago, half of all life in the universe, including our own Midtown High, was wiped from existence. But then, eight months ago, a band of brave heroes brought us back,” she says, accompanied by an on-screen graphic of the “band of brave heroes,” including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther… basically everyone but Thor and, considering his involvement, the Hulk.
Reddit, under the headline “Midtown Science gave everyone but the Hulk credit for bring them back to life,” offered a few explanations for their absences:
Maybe some [students] are still upset over the Harlem thing.
I feel like that’s partially the joke. Thor killed Thanos 1; and Hulk brought everyone back; yet Tony gets the most love.
Looks like Thor and hulk were left out maybe because they had massive redesigns and shooting schedules overlapped so they didn’t want to spoil their new characters?
He is probably there but green screen messed it up.
lmao knowing teenagers, it was probably for a really petty dumb reason, like “he didn’t fit on the poster” or “we ran out of different colors for our borders.” I’m willing to bet they added Bucky because some person thought his metal arm was cool.
Jay & Silent Bob Reboot is helping usher in a new era of roadshow style movie distribution, with the quasi-sequel to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back playing a 3-night only engagement before hitting various cities across the country. Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell is doing a similar launch. And to help get the point across, we're going to be seeing a lot of specialized promos. Today, we have a new look at Jay and Silent Bob Reboot that takes on the themes of Avengers: Endgame for a wild new one-sheet poster featuring director, writer and star Kevin Smith alongside his hetero life mate Jason Mewes.

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes are set against the now iconic purple and blue color scheme of the official Marvel character posters released for Avengers: Endgame this past summer. The pair stand ready in their superhero pose, with Jay bringing back a legendary prop from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Yes, that is the Cock-Knocker hand originally worn by Mark Hamill in the previous movie, in which he played the on-screen villain of Bluntman and Chronic in a movie Jay and Silent Bob were trying to stop.
The story in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot recycles this exact idea for a story that will follow all the same beats, albeit with a major twist. Kevin Smith's real-life daughter Harley Quinn Smith will be playing the daughter Jay never knew he had. And together they will embark on a magical fun-filled trip to Hollywood that is loaded with plenty of surprise cameos from previous ViewAskew movies and other assorted friends of the filmmaker at large.
Kevin Smith is a notoriously huge fan of Marvel movies. And showered quite a bit of love on Avengers: Endgame when it arrived in theaters this past April. His own comedy MallRats was featured in Captain Marvel earlier in the year, and served as a key plot point in one of Stan Lee's final cameos, which caused Smith to get a bit misty eyed in the theater.

It wouldn't be surprising to see a few more themed posters for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. We can only image a poster spoofing The Rise of Skywalker will be on the way, since this will surely have a plethora of Star Wars jokes. Kevin Smith was even on the set of The Rise of Skywalker before he shot Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, so he has a few insider tips on the jokes he could be making.
For now, we'll have to be content with this Jay and Silent Bob Reboot poster in the style of Avengers: Endgame, which we got direct from Kevin Smith's twitter. You can check out the full poster below.
Comic book movie fans apparently have not seen the last of Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark on the big screen. In reporting on this year’s Saturn Award winners, Deadline’s Geoff Boucher dropped a bombshell by saying that “Robert Downey Jr. will be seen in the role of Stark one more time, however, in the Marvel prequel ‘Black Widow’ in May 2020.” Downey Jr., who won this year’s Saturn Award for Best Actor in a Film thanks to his work in “Avengers: Endgame” one of six prizes the blockbuster received was supposed to make his final MCU appearance in the record-breaking “Avengers: Endgame,” which saw his character, Tony Stark/Iron Man, sacrifice himself to defeat Thanos and save the world.
“Black Widow” is kicking off the fourth phase of the MCU in summer 2020. The script from Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson takes place after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” so it’s not surprising that Downey Jr. would pop up as Tony Stark in a cameo appearance. Johansson’s Black Widow character was also killed off in “Avengers: Endgame,” making the upcoming “Black Widow” film a swan song for the actress in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Black Widow was introduced in the MCU in “Iron Man 2,” so the character’s long-standing relationship with Tony Stark also makes it appropriate for Downey Jr. to appear in the prequel film.
Downey Jr. has long been the face of the MCU as his 2008 superhero movie “Iron Man” kicked off the industry-defining franchise. Tony Stark’s “Endgame” death radically changed the MCU, and a large part of follow-up installment “Spider-Man: Far From Home” dealt with the emotional fallout of Tony’s sacrifice on the world and Peter Parker Tom Holland. The chance to see Downey Jr. one last time as Tony Stark should drive even more interest to “Black Widow,” which inherently has the added bonus of also being Johansson’s final outing as Natasha Romanoff.
“Black Widow” is directed by “Lore” and “Somersault” filmmaker Cate Shortland. The supporting cast includes David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, and Olivier Richters. Disney will release “Black Widow” in theaters nationwide May 1, 2020.
Robert Downey Jr's acting career spans more than four decades and has given him an incredible listing of credits that number very close to 100.
RDJ is best known as Iron Man or Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He is also well known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the detective's latest adaptation. He has also appeared in Saturday Night Live, Ally McBeal, Gothika, The Shaggy Dog, and Zodiac.
Recently with the release of Avengers: Endgame, it was a nostalgic moment for its Die-Hard fans because one of their favorite characters is taking goodbye.

Endgame showcases the efforts of the Avengers in reversing the Snap effect created by Thanos.
Robert has been a part of MCU with its first movie, Iron Man.
Since then, he remained to be the face of Marvel comics. During Downey's early days, he was known for being undervalued as an actor, even after being nominated for the Oscars several times.
Currently, RDJ is not having any contracts signed with Marvel so fans would be seeing him in non-Marvel flicks soon. Let's have a look at his upcoming flicks.
#1 SHERLOCK HOLMES 3
Robert Downey played the famed British detective Sherlock Holmes in the series. Law portrayed his famous sidekick, Dr. Watson. They both are returning for the threequel.
There are rumors that Narcos' co-creator Chris Brancato has written the script and will be produced by Susan Downey, Joel Silver, and Lionel Wigram.
#2 ALL-STAR WEEKEND
Jamie Foxx recently announced his first major film, All-Star Weekend, where he's listed as the writer and director.
We're assuming this is a comedy, with a description that reads, “Two buddies form a rivalry over their favorite American basketball player.” Along with Foxx and Downey, the film also stars Benicio Del Toro, Gerard Butler, Eva Longoria, Jeremy Piven, and Jessica Szohr.
#3 THE VOYAGE OF DOCTOR DOLITTLE
Robert Downey Jr. will be playing the title character in this newest adaptation of the classic story of a physician who discovers he can talk to animals.
This discovery leads to a great many adventures. Interestingly enough, RDJ is not the only Avengers alumni to be appearing in this film. Tom Holland, who plays a young Spiderman, will be voicing one of the characters in the movie.
Ron Howards's reimagination of the famous tale of Pinocchio will feature Robert Downey Junior as the main actor in his upcoming flick 'Pinocchio'.
The story of Pinocchio is one of the most popular children's stories ever. It follows a living puppet named Pinocchio who learns that he can achieve his dream of becoming human if he is brave and righteous.
Fans are already excited enough to see Downey portraying the role of Pinocchio in Howard's upcoming classic tale.
#5 JOHN BRINKLEY BIOPIC
There's no scheduled release date for the movie, but it's in the production queue.
The only confirmed casting decision is Robert Downey Jr. in the starring role. The story of 20th-century con man John Brinkley who claimed to be a doctor and scammed his way to fame and fortune using fake medicine and popular radio broadcast.
#6 AVENGERS 4: THE AFTERMATH [Or so I wish] Image by MCU Direct Twitter
The movie may show the aftermath events of Endgame. Endgame has opened ways for the development of its next sequel with the plot of multi-universe.
As Avengers had disturbed time vault, this has created many loops in the movie. I wish The Russo Brothers direct this pending blockbuster.
Avengers: Endgame has released so far on April 26. Fans response over the epic movie is overwhelming which has obliterated a number of box office records, becoming the second highest-grossing film of all time in only its second week of release, raking in $2.188 billion globally.
It's the hottest news as of September 2019. Robert Downey Jr will reprise his role as Tony Stark in upcoming BLACK WIDOW solo movie.
Tony Stark to return in Black Widow
Tony Stark apparently tells Natasha AKA Black Widow to run away. Fun fact, It's a scene from CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. It was deleted previously and Marvel has decided to reuse it.
Deadline's journalist has confirmed Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming Black Widow solo film.
At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark sacrificed himself in order to defeat Thanos and his invading armies in the film’s climactic final battle. And after the decade’s worth of interconnected films that led to that moment, it became abundantly clear that the actor - along with fellow cast member Chris Evans - was done with the MCU. Or, at least that was until a recent report in Deadline suggested that Downey would be back as Stark in Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming Black Widow prequel.
The report, which detailed Friday’s 45th Annual Saturn Awards in Los Angeles, mentions the alleged casting in a section about the ceremony’s many awards for Marvel Studios - including special accolades for Kevin Feige. And snuggled in the middle of the Disney-owned company’s section is a single sentence regarding Downey’s return. “Downey will be seen in the role of Stark one more time, however,” the brief and parenthetical line reads, “in the Marvel prequel Black Widow in May 2020.”
Whether or not Deadline‘s report proves to be true isn’t clear. In terms of the MCU’s narrative timeline, especially since Black Widow is a prequel, it makes sense. After all, both Tony and Natasha are dead now. But as Downey explained it in an interview last month, now was the time for him and Evans to leave the fold. “We had to get off. We opted to, and knew it was part of the job to get off the bus while it rolled on to other destinations,” he said. “There’s something very sobering about it. I’m glad he and I will be there to welcome others as they retire their jerseys.”
Then again, if Disney and Marvel managed to wave enough money at Downey, then perhaps he would be willing to don his jersey once more.
